Farewell 2018: Highlights from this year Coming up: Our plans for
2019 From the Veridian team: Happy holidays
Hello friend of Veridian,
It's nearly holiday time! Read our final newsletter for the year.
2018 It has been a busy and exciting year for the Veridian team.
It's been a privilege to partner with prestigious libraries, universities and cultural heritage institutions from all over the world. Working from our office in New Zealand it's wonderful seeing all the hard work come to fruition as new digital collections launch. We love watching visitor numbers grow as online communities discover, use and share each new collection.
Here are a few of our highlights of 2018
The launch of the Swiss National Library Newspaper Archive. We created a new presentation and access infrastructure for digitized Swiss press containing more than 3,500,000 pages.
Working with the American Foundation for the Blind on the launch of the Helen Keller Archive - the world's largest repository of material relating to Helen Keller. Best of all, it's fully accessible to visitors who are
blind, deaf, hard-of-hearing and deafblind.
Veridian was selected by the Office of the Secretary of State to provide online access to the Washington State Library Digital Newspaper collection. Watch this space for the launch date!
Upgrading a large number of Veridian collections to the new fully responsive Veridian User Interface with a clean and modern look.
Building some really interesting new collections of material in
German, Japanese, and Arabic.
