The 2017 ALA (American Library Association) Annual Conference will be held in Chicago in June this year. We are considering taking this opportunity to run a Veridian workshop in Chicago to coincide with the ALA conference, for both current Veridian users and those who may be interested in learning more about Veridian and our other services.
If we were to run such a workshop in Chicago in late June would you be interested in attending?
The workshop would include some or all of the following:
Veridian Introduction and Demonstration: For those who are not Veridian users and are interested to learn about Veridian.
Veridian Digitisation Service: An introduction to the new Veridian Digitisation Service that helps generate METS/ALTO data (including NDNP spec) with additional TextBlock auditing to ensure the best quality possible.
Veridian Network and Affiliates Model: If your newspapers are contributed by other libraries and you would like to encourage more of them to join your collection this may be something you want to know about.
